Situation position

The situation position is the place that describes the present state of the question, as it stands at the time of the reading. It serves as the starting point for the whole interpretation: the other cards are read in relation to it. In the cross spread it often takes the first place, on the left; in the Celtic Cross, it is the central card. It invites attention to what is, before wondering about what might come.
