New moon ritual

The new moon ritual is a practice performed when the Moon, lying between the Earth and the Sun, is invisible in the sky. Tradition links this phase to beginnings, germination and new projects. Practitioners write down intentions for the cycle that is starting, sometimes by candlelight. It is the counterpart of the full moon ritual, which takes stock of the cycle.
