Jumper card

A jumper card is a card that flies out of the deck while a tarot or oracle deck is being shuffled. Many practitioners pay particular attention to it and read it as a message that complements the reading, or even as the most telling card of the moment. Others simply put it back in the deck, considering it a handling accident. There is no common rule; each reader decides how to treat it before starting, to keep the reading consistent.
